Thanks to the signalling system, truck approach operations to the loading bay are made easier, thus speeding up and making the loading and unloading manoeuvres more flexible.
The dock shelter is formed by the perimeter structure that holds a set of canvases that adapt to the truck’s bodywork. The structure may be made in several materials, depending on the type of shelter: retractable, fix, dock shelter levelled with façade, inflatable or cold store dock shelter.
Retractable: The set of canvases of the retractile shelter allows the truck box to be surrounded simply and quickly. The design enables the canvases to be folded in the event of an incorrect manoeuvre, to avoid any need for repairs.
Dock shelter levelled with façade: This is installed directly on the façade to use the existing structure.
Fix: Sometimes our customers need completely immobile shelters, and fixed shelters are the perfect solution.
Inflatable: The perimeter canvases inflate to cover the whole of the truck box and adapt to different sizes. There are two different models of inflatable shelters: Premium and Large Volume. Each one has two sizes to choose from depending on the needs of the customer. These shelters offer the greatest possible thermal isolation and better facility hygiene.
Cold store dock shelter: Designed always to ensure the best isolation during the loading and unloading process and to absorb possible impacts on the building.
Retractable Shelter
Maximum protection, maximum energy savings.
Inkema retractable dock shelters with inclined roofs are formed by a perimeter structure that holds a series of canvases which adapt to the truck’s bodywork.
This structure is retractable so that if any incorrect manoeuvre is performed by the truck, the shelter returns to its initial position.
The aim is to provide a perfect seal when loading and unloading to achieve considerable energy savings and the resulting protection of the goods.
Inkema retractable dock shelters are mainly made up of the following elements:
Structure: Made in 2mm galvanised pipe connected by zinc bars and covered by a PVC canvas 0.5mm thick and very strong thanks to the interior flexible polyester mesh with which it is made. This structure is inclined at the top of the shelter to ensure that any rainwater runs off freely.
Canvases: The unit comprises two side canvases, which will have bands printed to help in the truck manoeuvring, and an upper canvas to form the roof. These canvases are made in two polyester section fabrics to facilitate collection, covered with 3mm of black PVC, resistant to knocks and scratching. The other canvas has a welded reinforcement to avoid tearing in use and due to the weather conditions, which increases its durability and allows it to adapt perfectly to the box.
Flexibility with knocks
The retractable dock shelters have been designed especially to give added flexibility in loading and unloading operations with vehicles of different sizes. When transferring the goods, it also isolates the installation to save energy and increase the comfort of the work area.
Safety
All dock shelters are provided with vertical reflective bands to facilitate carrier manoeuvres and to avoid collisions that damage facilities and trucks.
Fix Shelter
Functionality and efficacy: the perfect combiantion.
Some companies require completely immobile dock shelters for their facilities, and in this case the fix dock shelter is the solution.
The Inkema fix dock shelter is formed by a perimeter structure which holds a set of canvases to form a small tunnel that adapts perfectly to the truck’s bodywork.
The aim of the Inkema fix dock shelter is to give a perfect seal when loading and unloading to achieve significant energy savings and to protect the goods.
Dock Shelter levelled with facade
When a dock shelter adapts to all of your needs.
Inkema’s dock shelter levelled with façade is formed in exactly the same way as the retractable dock shelter with a perimeter structure holding a set of canvases which adapt perfectly to all kinds of trucks.
These canvases are built into the façade with a simple frame. Their PVC curtains are fitted directly on the front aluminium profile.

Inkema Inflatable Dock Shelters are designed to always ensure an optimal seal during the loading and unloading process.
In Inkema we make two types of Inflatable shelters:
Premium Inflatable Shelter: Formed by 3 inflatable canvases that fold tidily inside the shelter.
Big Volume Inflatable Shelter: A dock shelter made with 3 large, high durability inflatable bags.
Cold Store Shelter

Inkema Cold Store Dock Shelters are formed by technical foam die with a high recoverability index, lined with a polyester canvas with PVC on both sides.
When a vehicle begins to approach the loading bay to unload, it leans on the dock shelter and compresses it. The result is the perfect adaptation of the dock shelter to the vehicle box, blocking all entry of air and external elements.
Thanks to the strong PVC covered polyester fabrics, Inkema Cold Shelters are prepared to withstand the continuous rubbing caused by the manoeuvres connecting the dock shelter to the truck.
